Alan Hand a former Leaving Certificate student (2014-2016) at Abbeyleix Further Education and Training Centre, has been invited to speak at the European Commission Adult Skills Conference in Brussels, on the 6-7 December. The theme of the conference is Empowering People. Alan has also spoken at Aontas, the (National Adult Learning Organisation) Adult Learning Conference and on several radio stations about his experience of returning to education at Abbeyleix FET in the past year. Staff and students wish Alan all the best.
