Testimonials

Read what our past students have to say about their experience with the Business Administration with IT course at Abbeyleix FETC

I decided to undertake a QQI Level 5 in Business Administration in 2018 in Abbeyleix FETC. I had done very well in my leaving certificate, but just was not ready for college and wasn't completely decided on which course to do in college. The year in Abbeyleix was the best thing I could have done and really helped me decide on my future direction. I am now in Year 2 of a Bachelor of Business Studies in University of Limerick and will be majoring in Accountancy & Finance in January 2021 and looking forward to continuing my studies. While I found online learning challenging this year with COVID-19, I do believe that the IT skills learned in Abbeyleix FETC have helped me greatly and made this process much easier.

Business Administration Level 5
I undertook the QQI level 5 Business Administration course in Abbeyleix FETC in 2019. I returned to education because I had a genuine interest in the business industry and I chose the course in Abbeyleix FETC, as I had heard so many great things about it. The course was excellent and the teachers in the centre will go out of their way to help you reach your potential in all modules. The modules are well organised and taught in a way that makes learning manageable throughout the year. My favourite modules were the computer application based ones such as Microsoft Word and Access. At the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 when things were uncertain regarding exams etc. for the end of the year, the teachers were always on hand to help and got us all through a very difficult situation. I am now undertaking the QQI Level 6 Business Management course in Abbeyleix FETC and I can see how beneficial the knowledge learned at Level 5 is for this course. Once again we are being offered huge support by our teachers with our online learning. I hope to use the skills and knowledge learned on both courses to build a professional career in the area of business.
