Testimonials

Read what our past students have to say about their experience with the Business Management with Advanced IT course at Abbeyleix FETC

"I completed a QQI Level 5 course in Business Administration in the Centre some years ago now. I progressed into the QQI Level 6 Business Management course the year after in Abbeyleix FETC. While studying this course, I decided to use the links between Abbeyleix FETC and IT Carlow to progress to Advanced Entry into year 2 of IT Carlow's Business Degree Programme. I have since completed my degree and have set up a business in Portlaoise called VIMAR Digital Marketing and am loving it!"
Alastair Roe
QQI Level 6 in Business Management
Having spent several years at home with my children, I decided to return to education in 2015 to develop the relevant skills required to re-join the workforce. I initially studied e-Business with Digital Marketing (QQI Level 5) in Abbeyleix FETC in 2015. On completion of this course I progressed to the Business Management (QQI level 6) course in 2016. Here I not only further advanced my skills, but I developed an ambition to continue on to third level and formed what I hope are lifelong friendships. In 2017, with the help and support of my teachers and friends in Abbeyleix FETC., I used the advanced entry links between the Centre and IT Carlow and entered 2nd year of a Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Supply Chain Management degree programme at the Institute of Technology, Carlow. I recently completed my degree and have been accepted for a President's Research Fellowship Award, where I will be pursuing a postgraduate degree by research over the next 2 years. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the teachers and my dear friends in Abbeyleix FETC without whose support and encouragement I could not have realised my ambitions.
